What's the most comfortable shoe other than tennis shoes to stand in all day?

I got a new job and we can't wear tennis shoes...I'm so horrified :'(

What's the most comfortable shoe other than tennis shoes to stand in all day?
Rockport makes a lot of really comfortable shoes for being on your feet that aren't tennis shoes.

Also, I can think of Adidas and K-Swiss shoes that are designed such that they don't look like tennis shoes, but use the same design and comfort. I have a pair of brown K-Swiss shoes that I wear in my office and they pass for "work shoes".
Reply:nurses shoes, also Dr. Schols have some good shoes that are tennis shoes but they dont look like tennis shoes, they look dressy.
Reply:uh are converse tennis shoes?

cause if they aren't you shud get them. they are rally comfy!

and they are effin awesum.
Reply:the gucci high heel

great for ankle stress
Reply:gotta be horseshoes-- horses even stand while they're sleeping.
Reply:I can't tell from your avatar whether you're male or female.

If you're male, get a pair of Rockports from L.L. Bean [link is below]. They are THE most comfortable pair of dress shoes I've ever owned, and extremely well made. I took them recently to San Francisco; I did a lot of walking there, and my feet held up very well by wearing these shoes.

Bar none, the best $90 I have ever spent. After six months, they still look new.
Reply:All I have are dress shoes. I have not worn sneakers in 10 years. I am pretty much formal all the time.

Reply:My son manages a restaurant and is on his feet all the time. He swears by anything made by Morrell. Sierra has a site where they have their shoes and they frequently have sales. He has too many pairs of shoes to count.
Reply:Speeries (spelling?) they're boating shoes (clearly NOT sneakers!).

There's a big trend of wearing shoes that look like ballet shoes (only with designs on them), they're comfortable.
Reply:I'd say Ecko Unlimited. Love mine. Timberland also makes comfortable shoes. Not the boots or shoe boots, but shoes.
Reply:air walkers are the best
Reply:Nurses shoes are real comfortable
Reply:id look in to a cute maryjane.. lots of cushioning.

Earth shoes are really comfy but totally hippy.

Check out some at payless. something with a sole that GIVES.

Good luck and congrats for the new job.
Reply:crocs they rock!
Reply:crocs....i love mine and i can stand and "go and go" all day!!!
Reply:Crocs. I just got a pair for myself about a month ago and they are so comfortable. My mom and I went in to the Pizza Hut closest to our home and the server asked about our shoes. She is going to look in to it and I told her that because she has to wear black she can find Crocs in black too.
Reply:earth shoes and not the ones from payless, you need the real deal they are a little bit more spendy (like $100+) but they total save your feet and back, i'm an esthetician so i'm always on my feet and after getting my earth shoes i could sooo see a difference my back and feet weren't hurting any more, the cosmo girls like the earth shoes too but some perfer dansko's. earth shoes take a while to get use to but they are so light weight and comfy that you'll never go back to tennis shoes for work, they're also really cute !
Reply:Try putting some of those gel insoles in whichever shoes you wear so that they don't hurt your feet.
Reply:airwalks, they feel like walking on pillows.
Reply:Skechers make my dogs happy.
Reply:without a doubt birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes on the market but there not cheap although i see people paying a $100 bucks for tennis shoes. For just a little more u can buy birkenstocks.
Reply:Crocs, or the knock offs that I wear. I have heal pain sometimes, and these are the only things I can wear all day.
Reply:I would have to say neakers. But definately get some Dr.Scholls gel pads to put into them. It makes them so comfortable.
Reply:none
Reply:Those croc things are comfortable.They are also ugly so Avon put a cute spin on them by adding rhinestones.If they are making you wear dress shoes get some Dr.Scholls insoles.Congrats on the new job:o}
Reply:if u have to stand all day and look professional just try some flat black dress shoes it works for me and i work at a hotel type setting
Reply:Ariat boots.
Reply:if they don't accept tennis shoes i'm sure they won't accept these but they're really comfortable. magnum boots. they're combat style boots. the police use 'em i think but they look really cool and are super comfy.
