What are the best shoes for tennis?

I wear puma romas when i play tennis, the grip is ok, but i would like to step my game up a little when i play. and please dont say tennis shoes, because they really arent that good.

What are the best shoes for tennis?
Sasha, everybody's feet are so different. You can have supinated, pronated, or neutral feet. Each kind of foot greatly effects comfort.

If you're playing tennis, PLEASE wear a tennis-specific shoe. Cross-training, or worse yet, running shoes are a sever ankle sprain or break waiting to happen.

13 years as a pro leads me to the following conclusion on tennis shoes. And FYI, my foot is neutral, so the comfort of shoes for your foot may differ:

NIKE; Very comfortable, great air system that helps sore joints, not great on durability, usually neutral and pronated feet like these

(with knee problems, the Nike Air were my first choice) Serious performace attributes.

Adidas: Comfortable, more shock than NIKE, good durability, neutral to supinated usually like these shoes Serious performance attributes.

K-Swiss: Comfortable, great all around shoe for comfort and durability, usually all 3 types of feet can find a K-Swiss they like

Wilson: Great durability, but in some models comfort is sacrificed. Their shoes of last few years have become more comfortable. Neutral to supinated feet usually do well with this brand. I always wore Wilson on clay courts when I didnt need all the cushion of the Nike's.
Reply:addidas barricade
Reply:I am playing in these right now and I absolutely love them (see link below for description).
Reply:Try the links below...hope that helps...i love adidas...my feet hurt with k swiss....
Reply:If you like more spring in your step when you're playing (like I do) Nike Shox will work really great, although they can get pretty expensive. It depends on your price range. You could always get the same style in another brand, or still get Nikes but a less expensive style. The soles help when you're getting from one side of the court to the other to get to the ball fast.

Hope I helped!!!
Reply:i play tennis on ATP tour and i switch between the babolot and addidas barricade. It also depends on which surface you play on, some surfaces such as grass and clay are changeable with different shoes.
Reply:I've been using Adidas Barricade (3 %26amp; 4) for years and I find them really good. Here's a link for you check out:

Reply:in my experience some different types of addias and nike are very good. but i guess that's only to me...
Reply:If you need speed and good bounce, go for Nike Shox. If you are like me and just need to be able to get to the ball in time, I suggest some Adidas or New Balance running shoes. In my experience, they work very well.
Reply:I think addidas is overrated. i'm not saying that it is a bad shoe but I own a Fila and it is amazing! The support of the shoe when I side step and change directions makes my balance extremely stable and I conquer the courts with it. If I were you, go with the new Fila tennis shoe.
Reply:"Tennis" shoes.
