Has anyone ever made a pair of dance shoes by gluing suede onto the soles of tennis shoes?

I’ve found simple instructions for making dance shoes by gluing suede onto the bottom of a pair of shoes. I’ve never done this before and I want to know how effective it is and if there are any tips to doing it properly so as not to ruin a good pair of shoes. I’ll most likely use a pair of Puma tennis shoes, though I’m not sure what type of suede is best to use. Any suggestions?

Homie, I think you should buy a pair of dancing shoes if you have the money. If you don't, I understand (and so do the rest of middle-class Americans). If you don't, then perhaps save up for a pair you find?
Reply:no, i can't say that i've done that before. why don't you buy an actual pair dance shoes? your homemade ones probably won't be as effective. but if you HAVE to make your own, then i would suggest using flats..but pumas sound good too.
Reply:nope i dont dance i cheer and if i need dance shoes just buy them lol
Reply:um..*cough cough* i dont know if you should do that. i haven't done it before...if you think it would work, go for it. i personally wont cause i think dance shoes are lighter....and chances are, ull waste a pair of shoes. "o.o %26lt;srry%26gt;
