Tennis shoes?

i just bought a pair of walking/running shoes from bobs. they are bulky and bigish, is that how tennis shoes are suppose to be like. or are they suppose to be slim sleek ones like track shoes.

Tennis shoes?
Usually stores carry very few models of tennis shoes. They are listed under the category %26quot;COURT%26quot;. They have molded, light colured soles with a fine pattern. Walking/running shoes have black soles with a broad thick pattern and usually look like they are glued to the shoe instead of a molded look that tennis shoes have. Good luck ! If you are playing in a high school / a tennis club, they won%26#039;t let you use running shoes as they don%26#039;t come under %26quot;non-marking%26quot; shoes.
Reply:Make sure they do not have a black bottom. Someone totally screwed up the courts at our club thanks to non-official tennis shoes.

Wilson is really excellent with fabulous toe room; and Fila is very comfy with a fantastic slope to help keep you on your toes and its lightweight. People seem to love the latest Adidas Barricade (sp?)
Reply:Neither of them. You should go to www.tenniswarehouse.com. They have excellent choices. Adidas and NIke are personally my favorite. They last for a very long time and has really good grip although the Adidas Barricades can get a bit heavy. Tennis shoes usually have a very strong grip in the bottom and also a good protection in the front. In the middle of the shoe, there is a some sort of arc. Do not wear track shoes because it can be dangerous while playing tennis. They dont have to good of a ankle support.
Reply:What%26#039;s key for tennis shoes is ankle support. Since footwork is a big part in tennis, and sudden stops and starts are regular, your ankles are a big potential for injury. Sleek track shoes don%26#039;t provide traction or stability, increasing your risk for an injury. The shoes you have to buy must say court or tennis shoes on them, and make sure the padding around the ankle is thick, and make sure they fit well.
Reply:the best tennis shoes in the country are nike zooms, i got them...

i rote them a 6 out of ten, just get wilsons because they are cheaper and more comfortable.

people will notice if you get zooms, they are %26quot;stylish%26quot; im wide footed, maybe thats y they werent comfortable, but for a beginer just get wilsons
Reply:You want light shoes that tip downwards slightly and have a ton of room up front but hold your ankles snug yet not tight.
