The pronuncition of tennis shoes?

when you say %26quot; tennis shoes%26quot;,does it sound like tenni shoes?

The pronuncition of tennis shoes?
Yes if your enunciation is sloppy...and there%26#039;s a lot of it about! It is possible to pronounce the %26quot;s%26quot; at the end of tennis separately from the %26quot;sh%26quot; at the start of shoes if you make the effort.
Reply:My mom called them %26quot;tennys%26quot; or %26quot;tennies%26quot;...how do you spell in slang?!? I call them tennis shoes but I tell my boys to put on their %26quot;tennys%26quot;. So, for me...both.

Do you say greasy or greazy...as it reference to a good cheeseburger?
Reply:I suppose it depends on what part of the country you come from. Pronunciation is different in different places. Like saying tomato, some say toe-mato others say toe- mahto. I say tennis-shoes and my diction comes from the Pennsylvania area. So I guess what I am trying to say is there is no right or wrong way of saying it.

Sorry: HollyM but you spelt it wrong too.
Reply:It%26#039;s a matter of laziness. It requires only a modicum of effort to pronounce both words properly. Perhaps some people should just say %26quot;sneakers%26quot;.
Reply:It%26#039;s spelt pronounciation. Sorry I hate errors. It sounds exactly like tennis shoes. What sort of question is this?
